The story
DJ-Thïmble is an American rock and metal DJ based in Japan. The sets pull from the full timeline of heavy music -- from Led Zeppelin to Nirvana, with Dio, The Doors, and everything worth remembering in between. If it's loud, raw, or built around a riff that actually means something, it belongs in the rotation.
There's also a specialty that doesn't get much airtime this side of the Pacific: the rock and metal underground from Kansas City, Missouri. Bands like The Front, Banshee, Season to Risk, and Molly McGuire put in serious work in that city, and those records deserve to be played on a proper sound system for people who will appreciate them.
This is music for people who actually listen. Not background noise. Not a playlist someone half-assembled on their phone. A real set, sequenced by someone who cares about how one song leads into the next.
The umlaut is intentional. So is everything else.
What a DJ-Thïmble set actually sounds like.
The foundation. Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Deep Purple. The records that made heavy music possible.
Dio, Mötley Crüe, and the bands that turned the volume up and never looked back.
The real thing. Riffs that hit, vocals that carry, and songs that hold up decades later.
Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden. Heavy in its own way, and it belongs in any serious set.
The Front, Banshee, Season to Risk, Molly McGuire. A scene that deserves more credit than it gets.
